Hybrid Animal

In Mrs.Weigands class we were assigned an assignment that we had to blend 3 animals into one animal. In order to make this creation come to life i had to first had to think about 3 animals that i could relate to and how they would blend, i chose a Polar Bear, Dolphin and Panda Bear. In my final piece of digital art i had to include all parts of 3 animals, an Abstract background and also colors to make it pop. The software i used for this assignment was Adobe Illustrator. 

The 3 animals i chose to use was Polar Bear,Panda Bear, and Dolphin. I combined the fins, and the tail of the Dolphin onto the Polar bear body and the spots and eye of the Panda bear onto the Polar Bear. I included a icy background to go with the animals habitat. i wanted the animals habitat to be a cold and icy enviroment. 

The 3 animals represanted my personality as Strong,Funny and Fearful. Like a Dolphin i am funny and cheerful. As a Polar bear i am Strong. Finally as a Panda bear i am fearful for somethings and sometimes territorial with family or friends. Reason why i chose these 3 animals is because there are not only my favorite animals but also they represant diffrent aspects in personailty. 

On this assignment i think i did very good for someone that just learned how to use illustrator. everything on my project was well put and the grade i think i deserve was an A,B or C. i think on this assignment i did very well it had its ups but also its downs which made it hard for me. 

in overall i think i did fine on this assignment. If i had a chance to change anything i would only change the background a bit to make it more realistic looking. in the assignment i learned how to blend backgrounds and use the pen tool more accurately. and thats my assignment. hope you liked it ! 

Silhouette Self Portrait

During Mrs.weigand's classroom we had to create a self portrait and turn it into a silhouette-portrait.  the steps we had to complete to do this project was use adobe illustrator. we had to take a picture and use the pen tool on the program to make an outline of the picture then make 2 different types of pictures that included text,designs and color. 

i did not crop my image i kept it the way i had took the picture. i had used text that did curves its called the type on a path tool. that tool helped a lot to make a kind of artsy text. the background on the first silhouette was sun rays and lots of curves and right colors. the second image was a blend of three images all including me and words blended inside all of them.

since i didn't crop the picture i didn't need to try to make a perfect picture, everything on the picture flowed correctly and made the final project look very nice. the style and text make the song i picked looked very nice. the song speaks about a girls love making someone so high. so the curves in the picture and being blended into the second picture goes exactly with the 2 pictures. 

looking at my final pictures i think i did very good, on the rubric mrs.weigand gave i would give myself a 20,15,15,15 and 15. the best thing about my self portrait is the background brightness and all the deigns that surround the picture. the new tools i used was the pen tool and layers tool. i learned new techniques with illustrator. i was always being used to photoshop but i got used to illustrator quickly.

Bianca's Public Service Announcemnt

In Mrs. Weigand’s classroom in Hope High School we were assigned to make a Public Service Announcement speaking about a current problem that America is facing. The rules of the assignment was to have 3 statistics, a call to action (phone number or website to visit), a song, images, be posted on your blog, reflection and 1 minute long.

 

 

The issue I used for my Public Service Announcement was Domestic Violence. The three statistics that I used was 1. 25% of women have been a victim of Domestic Violence in there lifetime, 2. 74% of women are getting abused and being quiet and finally 3. 95.7% are being abused right now. The song I used was With Arms Wide Open by Creed. The reason why I used this song was to show my viewers there are answers to your questions and to your problems.

 

 

Besides the fact that domestic violence is very popular in the United States I wanted to make a PSA about help towards Domestic Violence. My song, images and words supported my issue because I used statistics of 2009 and that itself made me prove my point. The song was just a mood setter to make the viewer feel the movement of the issue, and the images were to show examples of domestic violence.

 

Looking at the rubric I believe I did really good on this project. I think I deserve a B on this project for Mrs.Weigands class. I think the whole PSA is good because it shows everything about domestic violence and the song completes it. I have learned to make a general point on something you have to have facts about the issue.

Digital Story

Digital Story Reflection

 

In my art class my class and I were assigned a digital story on imovieHD. We needed to create a digital story of something that impacted our life. The movie had to have 10 slides that had still pictures and the length of the movie had to be a length of 1 minute with voice included.

 

My digital story was about my cousin’s death, and how it impacted and affected my life deeply. The images I used were recent pictures of my cousin and I and some pictures he had token before his death. I picked these particular pictures because I wanted everyone that would see this story would see the bond between us as family and as friends. 

Lyrical Triptych Reflection

We were assigned a project that involved pictures and lyrics blended in together to create some type of illustration. The rules of this project were too have 3 separate panels with lyrics to a song, incorporate the lyrics into the theme of the panels and finally make sure the lyrics stand out.

In my assignment I used a song called “No Hook” by Jay-z and the pictures I used were mostly about what the song represented and stood out to me. In the Photoshop I used text, filter, text blending and opacity. 

I created the images by first listening to the song and thinking about what came to mind when I heard some type of lyrics. My whole inspiration came from the realness of the song and how the artist came alive in his own song. All this changed my mood and changed my whole perspective on how the pictures should become.

I think the Photoshop helped a lot. It helped my art come alive and let people see and me my art come alive. I was very successful with this assignment and I liked Photoshop so far. If I can do the assignment over I wouldn’t do anything to change I believe everything came out perfect.
